THE SOUND OF PEACE

I love to play the piano at night and even in my younger years, my mother always said that I play better after 6 pm. Just as the rest of the world winds down from a busy day, I begin to feel musically creative and inspired. I particularly enjoy playing ballads, love songs and riffing on classical pieces by Beethoven and Debussy.

Not very long ago, I remember my father visiting me and I had awakened him from a night sleep with my piano playing. He came into the living room, sat on the couch next to me and while listening, encouraged me to record a CD of the music I was playing. He said over and over that it was "very relaxing and soothing" to him. It seemed like he wanted me to play forever. Since he passed away, I often find myself in deep thought and playing the piano has become therapeutic for me. Each piece you'll hear was composed at night and is presented in its original conception. I offer to soothe, serenade and calm every ear that hears this music. So please kick back, relax, close your eyes and hear the sound of peace.
